How We Deliver Shipping Containers

Tilt-bed truck

storage containers for sale

The tilt-bed truck can transport containers up to 24ft long or a combination of them (i.e: 2 x 10ft containers). This is our smallest delivery truck, with the smallest turning radius. It is ideal for inner-city deliveries, mountain routes, and areas with limited access.

This truck is backed up to the desired location for the container; the bed is titled, and the container is rolled off the back of the vehicle into position. This truck needs at least 60 feet of straight line clearance to perform this delivery safely. We will ask you whether you want the container loaded with the doors facing the cab or the back of the truck when you place your order, as this influences the final door positioning at the site following delivery.

Please let us know if there are any clearance issues at the site or on the way there. We will gladly preview the route prior to delivery. These vehicles deliver and pick up rental storage containers 24ft and smaller.

Tilt-bed truck and trailer

The tilt-bed truck and trailer combination can transport containers up to 45 feet in length or a combination of them (i.e: 2 x 20ft containers, 4 x 10ft containers). To fulfill the delivery, this vehicle requires 100 feet of straight line clearance. First, the vehicle is backed up to the location where you wish the container to be installed. The trailer is then titled, and the container is rolled off the rear of it. When you reserve your order delivery, we’ll ask if you want the container loaded with the doors facing the cab or the back of the vehicle. The ultimate door placement at the delivery site is determined by this positioning.

Please let us know if you have any clearance problems at the site or on the way there. We will gladly preview the route before to delivery to ensure that the delivery can be done. These trucks transport and pick up our 40ft standard, 40ft high cube, 45ft high cube, or 2 x 20ft rental storage containers and container chassis and trailers.

Flat-bed truck

The flat-bed truck can transport containers up to 45ft long. We cannot store containers on the ground, unlike the tilt-bed truck option. To complete delivery, a forklift, crane, or other offloading equipment is required at the site. This delivery truck option is typically used if your delivery location is more than 200 miles away from one of our yards.

Please let us know if you have any clearance problems at the site or on the way there. We will gladly preview the route before to delivery to ensure that the delivery can be done.

Side-lifter truck

To set the container on the ground or hoist the container onto the trailer, the side-lifter truck employs two sliding cranes installed in front and back of the trailer. This truck delivers containers ranging in length from 20ft to 45ft, or two 20ft containers, as long as all containers have four bottom ISO corner castings. Our delivery fleet’s largest truck is the side-lifter.

The side-lifter truck’s biggest advantage is its 42,000 lbs load capacity. With a load capacity of up to 72,000 lbs, this truck effortlessly moves containers from other trailers or chassis at your site. The side-lifter truck may stack containers up to two levels high if a solid level surface is provided on-site. To accomplish this, the driver parks the truck near where the container will be deposited. The outriggers are then set, and the container is only loaded or offloaded from the driver’s side.

When you reserve your order delivery, we’ll ask if you want the container loaded with the doors facing the cab or the back of the vehicle. The ultimate door placement at the delivery site is determined by this positioning.

The side-lifter truck delivery option is more expensive than the tilt-bed truck delivery option since it does not require a 100 feet straight line clearance to accomplish the delivery. A side-lifter truck is also utilized if the container needs to be positioned on an elevated platform or stacked on top of another container.

Please let us know if there are any clearance issues at the site or on the way there. We will gladly preview the route before delivery to ensure that the delivery can be performed.

Crane truck

The crane truck can deliver containers up to 24ft long or a combination of the two. If many 20ft (or smaller) containers are to be transported to the same site, this vehicle can also draw a trailer. To load and unload containers, a crane is installed between the cab and the deck. Under normal conditions, the crane can place a 20ft container roughly 25ft away from the vehicle. A trained crane operator drives this vehicle.

The crane truck is an excellent delivery choice if the container must be placed over a fence, on an elevated platform, stacked on top of another container, or if exact placement is critical. Please keep in mind that the viability of each delivery placement is evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

To prepare your site for delivery, set your shipping container on firm, dry, level ground, such as tarmac, gravel, or hard dirt.

Tilt-bed and flat-bed truck deliveries are priced flat and include 30 minutes of offloading time. If the site is not ready for delivery, the equipment is not prepared, or other factors arise, and additional time is required, an hourly fee in 15-minute increments will be charged in accordance with our terms and conditions.

Side-lifter and crane truck deliveries are typically billed on an hourly basis, commencing when the driver leaves our yard and ending when the driver returns to our yard.

Our dispatcher will phone the site contact 24 hours in advance to confirm the 2-hour delivery window for all deliveries. The truck driver will call the site contact with a 30-minute delivery window on the day of delivery.

All deliveries are subject to terms and conditions.
